Hi folks, I'm hoping one of yu can help me get to grips with my new air drill. It says I need an 'air supply', don't we all have one of those on this planet? free of charge. Hmmm, so does anyone know what an air supply is.

Also, do you know if air drills are safe? Do I need proper gear? There isn't much info in the instruction manual.

I'm being all self motivated and am aiming to do loads of jobs around the home, like pt up my Ikea coat rack which I bought 2 years ago.

I think you need an air compressor to use it, since it is powered by air. They are safe though - safer than electric drills. Here is a really good page on how to use it: http://www.cdxetextbook.com/toolsEquip/hpt/usingAir/airdrill.html

Will I really need ear plugs and goggles to drill a hole in the wall? hmmmm, wonder if swimming goggles would do it.

safety wear is never a bad idea, but unless you're drilling for a long time I reckon the ear muffs are optional :-) Just make sure there's nothing inside the wall you're drilling through (wires, pipes, etc)!
