Ah ok.Well, my advice would be that you need to be p.r.e.t.t.y slick to pull it off without looking like either a banker or a pimp. I would buy one only if you mess-up the look a little. Do you propose wearing it during the day, or is it more of a going-out look?
HOWEVER! for the love of GOD do not wear it with a Trilby. Nobody wants those consequences...
I don't think spending money and taking an interest in clothes makes you a fashion victim. As long as you don't go crazy and buy things that suit you its fine...well, that's what I tell myself anyway.
Go Huntie, you buy yourself that waistcoat! Come on, its friday, treat yourself!
Huntie I think such attention to dress in a man is deeply admirable and does not make you a fashion victim in anyway. I dislike the phrase fashion victim – it suggests a sort of cultural dupe caught up in a cycle of false needs. I LOVE fashion, still means I am able to consume consciously, critically etc. But for the record I think the waistcoat is a big no-no unless teamed with the other parts of a well cut / tailored suit and you need to be athletically built Dandy to pull it off (which of course you might be)? I think JT looks a bit of a donut.
Alas, athletically built Dandy i am not, I'm only iccle - not my fault tho - I have a complete inabillity to put on weight
It is strange how you perceive what people look like by what they say though. I think we should ask the nice ppl who run the forum to allow us to add our bea-utiful photos - lol
