hi, has anyone watched Apocalypto? Its showing on bbc iplayer.
Is it scary? If its not I would like to watch it.
I'm afraid of gory scenes.
Opinions on the movie appreciated.

Well, here's what I think...

It's directed by Mel Gibson, very pretentious (more so than The Passion of Christ, I reckon) and up it's own bum. It's needlessly violent and gory (though not scary) and it's very difficult to follow with subtitles. Not a fan. But then I hated Braveheart and a lot of people liked ('Freeeeedddooommmm!' Shut up Mel Gibson and don't you ever flash your hairy arse at me again!) it, so take what I say with a pinch of salt.

i watch the Passion some years back; even that was hard to watch.
ok I'll try a few minutes of apocalypto and see how i go.

I'm a wimp when it comes to gory films and I found a few of the scenes in this one a bit gratuitious. I know people who loved it though.

I accidentally switched on the TV when it was on and caught a scene I really wish I hadn't :(

i've just made 30:48 mins of Apocalypto, decided to stop, now the village is being plundered :-(
why do films like that get made!!! and why do I still watch!!!!!!

i'm going to do some work now...
will see if I can survive the rest of the movie later
