This made me laugh out loud like a crazy duddette, in the street.
I took some of my old clothes to the charity shop over the road from my place, where this really cool silver fox odler man type works sometimes. He's always playing excellent music like the Fall and other obscure 80s things, and he looks really interesting, so I have this half crush thing on hime when he's in there, he's like the type that I would have thought was amazingly cool when I was about 14, but had a proper grown up life, although, I don't think about him outside of the shop. Anyhow, today he was behind the counter, so, after leafing through the dvds, I goes up to him and says 'I have some clothes, would you take them off me?' he gave me this really quick, naughty look and a smile and just started going 'ooooww I didn't mean it in that way' in a nervous manner and started and waving my hands around. I just burst out laughing and laughing as soon as I walked out of the shop. A real carry on moment.
So psychologists, do you think this was a freudian slip on my part?
haha I think it was definitely a freudian slip. I had a similar moment today - although slightly different. I was walking my dog and we met a husky and its owner on the field. The dogs went mental and were chasing each other about and play-boxing. THe owner was really old man, with a fag in hand - real dirty old man type. So I was talking to him about the field (there are worries that houses might be built on it - boooo) and the dogs started sniffing each others bums, as they do and then he said "ooh, we couldn't get away with that could we, I couldn't sniff your bum, shame" in a sid james dirty old many way. As you can imagine, by myself in the middle of an empty field I was a bit freaked and power walked all the way to the path and then sprinted home :$
**shudder**
Sneaks, that's really uuuwwwaaarrrrgggghhh making, not realy similar to my story at all! No wonder you power walked.
I feel really embarassed about going into the shop now, I'm very shy about these things... And I don't usually go for the older man, it would be a whole new endeavour for me. Maybe I'll go and leaf through the dvds again...
I've got a funny story - that happened before the unfunny one. I wanted to make sure everything went right today, so I set off from my house to the research site extra, extra early to factor in any unfortunate random events that could have stopped me getting there on time, such as bad traffic or spontaneously appearing road works. Unfortunately, I ended up getting there extra early and was knackered. So I thought, with all that spare time, I think I'll have a sleep on the back seat of my care. So I got snug and comfy on the back seat and all of a sudden:
"Tickle my belly...hahaha! Let's dance and sing...hahaha! Bye bye then!"
I found it actually quite a disturbing experience to hear something so random at 6 am in the morning and wondered where the hell it was coming from. Anyway, it was one of my niece's toys she had stuffed down the back seat that I was leaning against and activating... She's not playing with that thing near me.
