What is everyone going to be doing?
My bloke has asked me to go away for the weekend but I said no because it will be stupid prices and also my parents will freak out as we still have a few months to go before getting hitched. He also asked if I wanted to go out to dinner but I'm not keen on that either as I would feel akward in a restaurant full of couples trying to be romantic....argh.
It's a little too commercial for me I think!
Blimey H, some girls have all the luck! What I wouldn't give for my bloke to want to whisk me away for Valentines* or take me out to dinner! It will be a miracle if I even get a card
*(I totally understand you need to wait until he's made an honest woman of you to keep your parents happy!!)
I'm with you, H. All a bit commercial for me too. Some years my bf and I decide to buy a gift together, but it ends up being so completely unromantic, it is now a joke.
Examples of Valetines day gifts he and I have bought together include an edge-trimmer for the garden, an outdoor blower-vacuum thingy for the dog fur on the back verandah, and private health insurance! Swoon!
Awww Jen, you can make him an extra special meal at home, cheer both of you up!
I think that's what I'm going to do, make dinner at home, although haven't decided what to make. Anyone know any romantic veggie recipes?
I'm going to make a card as well, only because I get the chance to fling glitter around and make a mess with glue Maybe some aftershave as well...
