I am sorry if I sound stupid asking this question but I am from outside the EU and my supervisor told me that he will give 12k per year plus some additional support for confabs as part of my schol. I was wondering whether 12k is enough to live comfortably in the southeast of UK. I have seen that it is what mist Uk syudents receive but I was wondering whether I should bring additional money from home when I come
Hey there D. It depends what you mean as southeast. If you mean London, then it could be pricey. If you mean out of London then yes it should be sufficient to live comfortably enough. After all, life is as expensive or as cheap as you make it. Nothing wrong with bringing perhaps some extra money if you want some 'luxuries', but for day to day living 12K (and i assume you mean this is taxfree) should be plenty.
