Has anyone ever come across someone having a second attempt at a PhD. Originally studied Russian politics at Cambridge in late 90's, didn't get on with my supervisor, had problems with depression. But I've never given up on the possibility of going back one day - even after 5 years in the workplace I still love the idea of being surrounded and enthused by ideas! Speaking of which, any ideas on this topic are very welcome. Thanks.
There's no reason why you can't make a second attempt at a PhD. You'll need to find a supervisor that thinks you can do the job and understands the reasons why you left the first time around. With good academic support, getting funding should be no more dificult than it is for anyone else in your subject area.
