Hi everyone,
As a part-time student close to the end of my PhD journey, I will be spending most of this long weekend writing my thesis. It would be nice to know I'm not alone in this. Today I plan to finish a section in one of my data chapters and revise the introduction to that chapter.
I'm aiming to finish my lit review for Tuesday. Meaning 1000 words a day over the Easter weekend. You're not alone! :)
Same here, AislingB :( Although so far this morning I've managed to work my way through 4 episodes of the X-files box set I bought as a treat yesterday and done nothing on the thesis......big mistake!
Phew lemonjuice! I feel better about the two episodes of The Simpsons I've just watched now :) My self-discipline dwindles when other people are on holiday. I know I need to set up a good little reward system e.g. 500 words = 1 episode of House of Cards and some chocolate!
Ha ha lemonjuice and GrumpyMule - that's why I have to come to uni to work. Otherwise I'd spend the whole day in front of the tv, telling myself 'just one more episode' again and again.
I'm sustaining myself with tea, hot cross buns and chocolate mini eggs. Diet starts Tuesday :-)
Have a productive day everyone!
I'm working this weekend too. Treated myself today by going to a coffee shop and working with a huge cup of coffee and a big slice of cake. Got loads done which was super. Albeit mildly depressing watching all of the families having a fun day off together!
Think I'm going to drag myself to the office tomorrow though. The temptation to just chill out is far too great, I'm afraid.
No work for me this weekend, been given the flu by my friend, just hope to be well by Tuesday but she was off for over a week :-(
I'm also at uni, working. Took 2 days off though, so that was good. Hope to finish another chapter by Wednesday. Just have to polish it really and add a few more references.
You guy who're talking about finishing one or two chapters are scaring me. One and half years to go, haven't done a single chapter, busy with experiments. :'(
