Hey everyone, I'm feeling really really poo - all run down and sorry for myself! I have a supervision (for which I've hardly done anything|) tomorrow and a stats exam on monday which I have to pass. Does anyone have any good ideas about how to stop my brain feeling like damp wool and to get the information in there?!
I heard caffeine's supposed to be good but I'm not sure?
I know how you feel. Having an awful week myself - no exam but no progress on my work. There seem to be new obstacles every day and so far I haven't found a way to work around them. I crave chocolate and what I really want to do just now is go home and watch TV.
I had a cold last weekend and I always find that going for a walk helps. 20 minutes of fresh air will certainly clear your mind and help your cold get better. Maybe I should walk around a bit myself?
If you are feeling really grotty then make sure you have lots of water and get lots of vitamin C that should help along with a good nights sleep.
Choclate will perk you up but with the sugar high you get a sugar low which will result in you feeling more crappy probably
Well, I could suggest Echinacea, but you may as well swallow your money.
Seriously though, the best things (with studies to support them no less) are antioxidant Vits C and E, and also chicken soup. Apparently, the chicken soup contains high levels of certain amino acids (cysteine perhaps), which help with a cold. Apparently, taking both of these can reduce the duration of a cold by up to 40%.
