I work for a Biotech company in the R&D division. I have completed five years with the company now, and, I have also been selected for a Ph.D program funded by the company!
My wife is relocating to New York for a period of 5 years! I have no choice but to quit my job and follow her! Hence, I quit my job, and strated preparing for GRE & TOEFL. My exams are in April and May respectively. I plan to leave to New York in July.
I am looking forward to apply for the Fall 2008 session (since, I stand little chance this year or the Spring session). My interests are in Infectious disease diagnostics, Immunology of AIDS and the like.
I'm leaving on a L2 visa (dependent). Do people like me stand a chance of getting a place in some lab in New York. I would have a valid GRE score with me! Is it a good idea to talk to the faculties about my problem, right now! Since, I would have 90 days with me to get my work-permit, is it a good idea to look for something then!
