Hello everybody,
In the last weeks I received 2 formal letters of proposal for a PhD position in the field of analog IC design. The first came from University College London, and it is about designing an ultra low power wireless transceiver with an energy harvesting circuit as a power supply circuit, in standard CMOS technology. The second one came from Eindhoven University of technology, and it is about designing an op amp, together with an ADC, in TFT technology, as a front end for sensors.
Now I am struggling with myself because I really don't know what to choose between the two. Taking into account that the two topics are very interesting to me, which one in your opinion is the best if I want to continue my career as a researcher? which is the best if I want to go to work in companies after the PhD?
PS: the scholarship in London is 16000£, while in Eindhoven is ~20000€
Thank you very much for your help.
