I have been reading in preparation for my comprehensive exam next week and I am terrified! Not only am I terrified on the essays I have to write (3 in 3 weeks) but because of my experience in my department with academic bullying. I don't think the powers that be are going to let me pass and move on.
I don't know whether I should just drop out now or see this through?
Our doubts are traitors,
And make us lose the good we oft might win
By fearing to attempt.
(measure for measure, shakespeare)
don't stop praying and leave everything to God. have faith.. :)
Empty and dark shall I raise my lantern,
And the guardian of the night shall fill it with oil and he shall light it also.
(The prophet, khalil gibran)
You've made it this far, you should not back down. I remember having doubts up to the last minute when I took my exams. Sometimes it helps to look yourself in the mirror and remind yourself... YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW! Forget about what you know or think you know about the professors, focus on what you have control over. Prepare and make sure you have time to relax to keep your knowledge accessible.
Three weeks for three essays isn't too bad. Ours were 3, two-hour sessions over two days! Be positive, do your best, and that's all you can do. Don't worry about anything else expect for what you can control.
