Hi all
I`m nearing completion of my PhD (1/2 year) in medical science. In regards to Job prospects I finally decided to leave academia and head over to the industry. Although I`m undecided if I want to leave science as well or not but it`s definitely a possibility. One thing I haven`t done yet is to speak in an international conference. I have though presented orally and posters on about 5-6 national ones. As the application for a travel grant and the presentation would take a big chunk of time out of my thesis writing and final lab work I`m not particular thrilled to attend one. But what I don`t know is if the big conference is really as important or not when you apply for a job in the industry (science or alternative)? Hope anyone has some helpful input to this.
Thanks in advance
Alohaey
