In your opinion, in the humanities, what publications are most appreciated on an academic CV please? A paper published in the proceedings of a major international conference (i.e. as part of a printed book) or the same paper published *online* on an academic journal?
Is both not a good thing? But academic is more another journals and less about proceedings because journals is easily available to everyone and everywhere and proceedings can take a while and usually not cited as journal articles tend to get cited and increase your visibility. Conference is normally associated with networking.
