if you had a critique or to do just a literature review style essay (not a thesis) how would you structure it?

what would be the main ingredients? masters level, at 3,000 words, ive got 6 authors?

ive loads of books on thesis writing etc. and ive already done alot already. but i would like to hear other people's opinions?

Bit more info would be good. But if you are comparing 6 authors and their theories/ideas I would start with the earliest and then move through them date-wise until you get to the most recent, how each has added/changed perspective and then some up which you think is the best/worst etc. Really does depend on the subject tho
