I am a UK home student just finished my degree in Molecular Biology. I want to a phd in Australia, but wonder if there is any means of funding from the UK, and how to go about it?

Full scholarships are available through the Commonwealth Scholarship Plan, for Commonwealth students to enable them to study in other Commonwealth countries. Grants are for one to three years and usually cover the cost of travel, tuition fees and living expenses. Your best bet is probably the Association of Commonwealth Universities. However, relative to the UK, South Africa is a not a wealthy country and money for education tends to be directed towards South Africans.
