Hi!
I got admitted to do a MSc Economics or a MSc Financial Economics at Essex. Could anyone tell me anything about either of those courses or about the reputation of the department. I researched it on the net, but was wondering if anyone had additional information. What are the employment opportunities after doing one of those programmes? I do not want to do a PhD afterwards, but find a job somewhere in the UK or EU.
Would appreciate any comments.
Regards
The University of Essex has a very good reputation, especially for economics and social sciences - the economics department at Essex got the highest possible rating in the last Research Assessment Exercise.
Essex definately sounds like a good university to go for this course and I would have thought it would definately strengthen your employment prospects.
Thanks for the answer!
I was a bit concerned, because the overall ranking of the university, especially in the "gratuate prospects" category, seems not to be too good.
