After installation, you should find that you have more functionalities in MS Word, so you can insert a reference from your EndNote library directly into your document. You can also download references from online databases so you can avoid typing references into your library (and all the typos that can result from this!)
Find out if your Uni runs any EndNote workshops.
errigallass, there is a lot more to EndNote than just producing reference lists! Could you also attend a workshop, might be worth asking your Uni library or IT people. A couple of hours in a workshop learning how to use it could save you many more hours of document formatting time. Good luck!
Hi jojo,
I have Endnote and I know exactly what you mean! Absolutely no idea how to use it for the best. I add references and then I get tired of adding references, I know there is a quick way to do it from the web but I am totally inept! Go for the course...alternatively find someone who has already done the course and photocopy their booklet...often if you search the uni intranet you will find the course is already on there and can do it for free...!
Good luck!
