Hi, I'm applying for an English Lit PhD beginning session 2008/9 and I'm totally lost when it comes to funding. Basically if I don't get funding I can't afford to study so I'm really keen to explore as many avenues as possible. So far I know about the Arts & Humanities Research Council, thr British Federation of Women Graduates and my own university's faculty scholarship; but are there any other scholarship funds I should be applying for? I'd appreciate any pointers!
I think you have already named all of the major sources of funding in your field.
Just keep your eyes open in all of the relevant websites/publications for any additional studentships which are advertised between now and early next year.
English Lit isn't the easiest subject to get funding for so good luck!
