I have 3 months left for prepraring for the job market package. However, with my new born baby and failure of the first project, I feel totally scared of going out. I haven't started job market paper at all. I feel that it is my fault( not smart enough) that no good results found in the project.
I have no funding in the last year and I could not postpone for one more year.
Sorry for pouring out here. Good luck to the phd study for all of you.
Don't give up hope.
No -one in the UK has funding in the last year. You have to persevere by doing a part-time job and part-time study or ask if your partner will support you while you write up your thesis. The writing up stage is the toughest but well worth it.
If you get a funded PhD it lasts 3 years so you are funded for your last year (in all the PhDs I've seen!) However if you haven't finished writing your thesis within that time (as most people won't have) you will not be funded once the grant runs out so you'll have to support yourself then!
