Dear all,
I've got a conditional place at KCL for a phd starting in October, I was rejected from the AHRC funding, but believe with working, alternative funding etc, I should be able to scrape enough together to make it happen. However, my major concern is will the fees change halfway through my phd?
Currently 2011/12 fees are £3,750, which is pretty good. However, I'm terrified that I'd commit to the phd and suddenly year 2 KCL turn around and say, errr yeah £14,000 a year now please......
Is it like the BA, once you've committed that's the amount you pay?
I've tried contacting the administrators over this, but they are currently a bit stumped.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Amy
I am also very interested in whether fees will change for postgraduate!
I have obtained a place and I am currently waiting for ESRC application.. yet if fees remain the same, i will be potentially able to self-fund it.. but if they change .. .especially in the middle of the program, it will be a mess..
