Well, I submitted on Monday! Finished the thesis on Friday, printed and bound it but the submission office was closed, so I just took a copy home and checked through it over the weekend - blimmin good thing I did, there were tons of mistakes!
Felt very strange looking at it and seeing my name on the top, it took until about Sunday to get used to seeing it and knowing it's mine! On Monday I fixed all the mistakes and reprinted necessary pages, then went to submit...and they weren't going to take it. Turns out you can't submit if you have books overdue from the library (who cares about library books just before submission?!) so I had to phone all over the place to get a manager who could remove the suspension and let me submit, as I couldn't get my hands on the books that day (snow :( ) and I absolutely had to submit on Monday! I was fighting back tears by that stage!
But it's in now, I have my little slip of paper and everything, and it feels great!
Massive massive thanks to everyone on PGF who kept me going, especially over the summer!! Viva prep time now! (up)
Fantastic AQ... what a palava to get it submitted.. you can't submit if you have library books over due .. they must have a death wish ! I can't imagine how you contained yourself.
How many copies did you have printed AQ ? I've been asked to submit two but wondered if I should have three printed ?
Enjoy the glow... Best. Chuff
Well done AQ - I would have been so annoyed if overdue library books stopped me from submitting, the people at my uni are quite jobsworthy like that as well, we have to pay extortionate fines if we have books overdue.
Have a lovely relaxing weekend and good luck with your viva prep!

Congrads AQ! However, you have made me take a mental note about proofing the submission piece and library books.
Enjoy some time away and good luck with the viva.
Thanks guys! Starting to dread the viva but hey, at least the beast is in!
And yea, if possible I would definately recommend taking a bound copy home and proofing it beofre submission, all sorts of mistakes and inconsistancies will show up once you see it all together, I had the header for my biggest chapter in bold with a random number stuck on the end, and had to reprint the whole thing, didn't see it until it was stuck in between two good chapters!
Good luck everyone!! It will end, no matter how much it feels like it never will and it's gona drag on forever, you will get there!!!
