have you ever started a collaboration?

I

Hello everyone,
I need to tell you what's happening with me, as I badly need your advice.
I am a master's student and I previously told my professor that I want to participate in writing a review article.
After a few weeks he told me that he wants to co-author it with me, and since he is a very person, that meant that I have to write everything by myself.
I wouldn’t mind doing it alone, but that would take a lot of time and effort and since I am a strong believer in collaboration, I want to collaborate with another Mater/ Ph.D. student to write it together.
How can I start the collaboration?
Can I just send an cold email to a student working in the field inviting him / her to co-author it with me and my professor? Do you think this is a good approach?
Do you have other ideas?
I haven’t told my professor yet about my intentions….
He is open minded ( I tend to think he is so ), so I imagine that he wouldn’t disagree.

Thnx guyz.

Generally this is what happens with articles co-authored by you and your professor, You write it, they check it.

You should check with him if you want to include others as well.

Then you can just contact them as you suggested.
