Hi all, I hope that you can help me! I just accidentally touched something in the keyboard (I don't know what), and now the chapter I am working on shows tracking changes. If I try to remove it from the Review option, I just delete all the text that I inserted later. What can I do to remove the track changes, but leaving all the text?
I suppose that it must sound a stupid question to you, but I had a panic attach when I realised that I deleted all the work I had done yesterday!
Many thanks! :-s
erm, maybe just close the document and don't save - then re-open it (assuming it hasn't autosaved or you've saved in the meantime and you won't lose data)
I would have thought that is you activated the track changes and then typed you are essentially adding a 'change' via track changes. By switching off the track changes the text inputted will disappear. Therefore logically I would think that you need to go over and 'accept' your changes ie the text you have added, in order to keep the work you have done. Once you have accepted all of the 'changes' then switch off the track changes.
Of course I may be talking rubbish...........and computers do not use logic!
