I'm just wondering how long your literature review is?

I've left writing up the literature review towards the end, and I've allocated 10,000 words to it. Does that sound ok?

Sounds like a sensible length. Mine is about 15,000 in its current form, but some of it is getting moved into the discussion as I'm going to use it for 'suggestions for further research' (having identified gaps in the literature that I then didn't have the resources to address :-) )

Think mine was only 8000 but I had quite long chapter intros.

Mine is split over two chapters and is about 12,000 in all.

I have one about the literature regarding my overall theme (migration/transnational workers) and one regarding the geographical location I am dealing with. I might put them both into one chapter - not sure yet!

I have a two part literature review and it is too long I feel- one is around 11k and the other 14k. I am hoping to chop it down in the editing stages- I think your proposed 10k is reasonable!
