CBSE UGC NET Exam is held twice a year, usually in the months of June and December. But this year the exam is going to be conducted in the month of November 2017, and may have possibilities that it will conduct once in a year from now.
Syudents who qualifies the exam is given UGC Scholarships of 25000 INR + HRA per month
The NET Exam is being conducted in 3 papers.
Paper I- This round is a General Aptitude test common for all candidates.
Paper II & Paper III - This paper will consist objective type questions related to the subject selected by the candidates.

There are certain exams which you must give to make career in lectureship.
Some of the top most exams for that are UGC NET & CSIR NET.
UGC-NET stands for University Grant Commission- National Entrance Test. The exam is biannually held in June (3rd week) and December (3rd week). UGC-NET exam is essentially required for pursuing higher order research in University departments/Institutes of National Importance, etc. Those who qualify UGC-NET exam are awarded either a JRF or Lectureship on qualifying the NET exam.
UGC NET is conducted in various subjects of arts, commerce, management, science, etc.
CSIR NET is the part of UGC NET, which deals with the lectureship and research in science related subjects only.

To become a lecturer in India you have to clear CSIR-NET/UGC-NET/SLET/RET.
NTA conducts the UGC NET for the research work and lectureship. From July 2018 NTA taken over the charge of conducting UGC (University Grant Commision) NET (National Eligibiity Testing).
CSIR-NEt is conducted for science stream students.
Motto of both CSIR NET and UGC NET is same bt CSIR NET is conducted only for the science stream students.
SET is State Eligibility Test, conducted for different states. Every state conducts SET.
RET is Research Eligibility Test.
If you're Post Graduation is from Science stream, then you can appear in CSIR NET and if from other you can appear in UGC NET.
CSIR NET is conducted in 5 subjects whereas UGC NET is conducted in approx 85 subjects.
