By what means did you send your application? If you go through a normal procedure with paper applications, there should be an exact dates for the annoucement of the committee's decision, which means you only have to wait till that time comes. Otherwise, if you apply, for example, through emails,... the time it takes varies. In my case, I got one offer after about two weeks, one after about 3 months.
What I would suggest you do, in case you apply via emails, is to re-send the email again, or call the Professor to ask if he/she has received your email.

If you've been waiting more than a couple of weeks for a response, write to ask if your application has been received and to ask when you can expect to hear back from them with a decision. If you have already received an acknowledgement then I'd suggest writing immediately to say that you forgot to ask when a decision on interviews was likely to be made.
