how to deal with tiredness

J

????

J

a nap perhaps... then work all night??

S

Work with your body (i.e. lark or owl). I'm rubbish in the afternoons but good in the morning and in the evenings (which is why I'm working in the office now). As DanB says, an afternoon nap is a better than any amount of stimulants and should freshen you up nicely.

S

No, you must keep normal sleep patterns. If I have a nap in the afternoon then I'm good until 2am. 5 or 6 hours deep sleep then ready for action in the morning. Having two sleeping sessions naturally mirrors the body's own metabolism anyway. Best to work with it.

T

I always find a cool shower perks me up.. Or a bit of a walk out in the fresh air.. Failing that a wee nap works, but I usually end up sleeping for hours then being unable to sleep at night so I usually avoid that one

H

I find that having a regular night's sleep 6-8 hours stops me from being tired and I can concentrate better on my work.

I never take naps, they make me feel ill.

J

Eat less during the day. Overeating at lunch makes you sleep all afternoon.

J

I'm not a very attractive sleeper, though. There's drool and everything. I can't be seen drooling at work.

J

Though I'm sure Loughborough is more conducive to sleep than Leicester

J

There'd be a lot more burping though. I am the champion.

F

Go for a brisk walk in the cold. It'll clear your head straight away. If you're still feeling tired try a fruit smoothie made with natural yoghurt. Failing that give in to the tiredness and start early again the following morning. You can't always ignore it. Sleep well xx

K

Hey Juno, I challenge you to a burping contest. I would win for sure.

J

kc: I accept the challenge! Bring on the webcams.
