i have started off my PhD few months ago. i was so excited to plan on my lab works. However, after some time i feel there are so many limitation on my research work and i have been told that my supervisor have not got any grant yet!! i wonder isn't a supervisor should have get a grant first before they started off on what they intended to do? i wonder is there any one of you out there facing the same situation as me? i m so worried that i might not get my PhD in time.

I'm suprised that your supervisor hasn't got the grant yet. But I don't think you need to worry: if you have been made a formal offer to study a funded PhD, then I think the university is legally obliged to support you financially.

if you got your place as a funded phd student, then you have no worries, the dosh will definitely come but if not better double check with your supervisor.
