My viva is yesterday and one night before that i was told my viva is cancelled due to examiner sick
I have been prepared so long for this, I feel very annoyed, i wonder what i can do here
i crying for whole days, it has been four month since i submit and they told me i have to wait at least three weeks for the person to recover
is there way to regulate the sudden sickness of the assessor which bring huge damage to your life and life plan
I understand your frustration but it is just one of those things. Use the 3 weeks to do some fun relaxing things and then just refresh on your thesis a day or two before. While it is unfortunate that your viva is delayed due to someone being unwell, you might also try and extend to them some understanding!
Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, people do get sick. I can appreciate how frustrating this is, but I agree with Tudor Queen, you can use this time well, and could see it as a gift, because imagine all the pressure and stress you've been through, you can now release some of that by relaxation, exercise, and have additional time to go over your thesis. If you want, you could even look for typos and send a list to examiners before-hand or have it with you in the viva, that looks good to them.
pm133 never fails to say what we are all thinking... :D
But giving the benefit of the doubt, PhD and viva stress can be immense and could cause someone to be less considerate than they might normally be.
