You know that you can usually download references from a literature database straight into Endnote, rather than typing each one by hand? This is very easy from PubMed but (being a science gal) I've not tried downloading from any social science type databases, perhaps others have?
What I have found helpful is that most social sciences databases (sagepub, taylor and francis, ebsco etc.) when you look up a journal article, have the option "export to citation manager"(not always phrased like this, but usually it will be somewhere on the page).this makes uploading articles to endnote so much easier.
I am in the same boat sixkitten, catching up with my data entry after not really using endnote for ages. It sucks as a task ( up there with ironing as far as I am concerned)- but its my own fault for not doing it more regularly.
Thanks Ann - I didn't realise I could import references from other databases - just tried & it works. Yey.
