Dear ladies and gents, thankyou for starting to read this.
To cut a long story short, I wish to do a PhD in the area of my current undergrad degree (biochemistry), my results last year (2nd year) were not as I had hoped (or to be frank, how much I prepared for them) giving me a mid 2:2. My refrences are both glowing (according to them anyway) and they both concur that it is extremely likely that i can get a 2:1. (consequently in no lab, work have i got below this grade)
Now, there is a PhD in the school with a brilliant supervisor, (who ive talked to a bit about the project, although i had a bit of a "deer in headlights" moment), which is hotly competed for. For this I need an edge.
Also, just incase i don't get an 2:1 or even if i do, is there a place that does mRes, with less than £8K tuition fees?
thankyou.
