Dear all , I have my presentation for the fist PhD year after one week. What is your advise to me, can you tell me how to thanks the jury in the beginning and in the end?

where are you? Then at least tell me what to wear, is it possible to wear jeans or it must be a suit

For this kind of occassion I wouldn't wear jeans or a suit. Jeans are too casual and I never wear a suit - smacks too much of 'supermarket manager' for me. I would go with simple black/pinstripe trousers, nice shoes and a funky top - which is kinda smart. The kinda thing you see in the next catalogue, which is fine for work but isn't a suit.
