Is it possible to apply for a 2nd Masters Programme?

Is it possible to undertake a second masters in a particular subject if the 1st masters programme hasnt turned out the way you planned it to?My 1st masters will be classified as a 3rd class honours and I'm really hoping to begin a masters in a different university in a year as I feel that I didnt do myself justice the 1st time out due to a difficult year.
