Hey guys,

my girlfriend didn't get a PhD job for this autumn. We actually wanted to move to London together.
Was thinking of finding her a job as a lab tech for the interim and try for the PhDs next term.

Where can you look for jobs and especially life science jobs in the UK?

There are still fully funded life sciences PhDs being advertised on here! Certainly in the next few weeks she might get contacted by supervisors that have previously rejected her because their 1st choice student didn't meet the minimum requirements so looking for a replacement student. In the pass week I have received 2 offers for PhD interview- just keep trying and don't give up! There is always January 2012 intake to consider as well!

she just got an email yesterday for an interview. Gonna be in 3 weeks. Hopefully she'll get the spot. Would be perfect!

She is just having the interview right now via Skype. Watching and listening in on it. :)
