I want to do my PHD in UK.However, I am not very clear about the application for the place and scholarship. Do I have to firstly find a place (supervisor) in an university? Do I have to contact a supervisor by meself? The best place to find a supervisor who is researching the area you are interested in, is to search on this website. You can also go and search on university websites, as they usually list studentships on departmental web pages. It's up to you to get in touch with potential supervisors. They will probably be able to tell you if they would have funding for you as well, or ways in which to obtain funding.
