I have a quick question: Does anyone know how long it takes to arrange an MPhil examination? Is it usually internal or external?

It is arranged just like a PhD viva i.e. there are at least 2 examiners, one internal and one external. The time taken to arrange a viva is variable but will include the time taken to 1) have your proposed examining team approved by the university and 2) find a date which is mutually convenient to both examiners and yourself! It will probably depend upon the availability of the external examiner (there are two, one external and one internal). From submission to examination took about a month and a half for me I think.
