I am hoping to apply for an MSc Criminology & Criminal Psychology offered as a distance learning programme by the University of Portsmouth. Nonetheless, I have no previous academic experience in the above topics, having graduated with a 2:1 in Modern Languages. Having said that, since graduating, I have worked as a police officer for 3 years, hence the reasons behind me wanting to do the above MSc.
Any opinions? Anybody else done a Masters in a completely different subject to that of their Bachelors?
I did a similar thing so i would think you would be fine.
I did an undergraduate Psychology degree but having worked in a community mental health team for 2 years i decided i wanted to continue working in this field and i am now going to do a Social Work MA this October.
My experience in my job was the main topic we talked about in my interview and was offered a place.
