Hi wondering if anyone can help me
I was born in England but moved to Canada and got my BA at university there. I'm now interested in doing my masters in the UK, I haven't narrowed down any particular program or school but need to know if I would be charged english or international fees.
I know it's a bit of a strange question but if anyone knows how i can find this out i'd really appreciate it. Also does anyone know what a north american GPA equivalent of a 2:1 is?
Thanks so much for all the info. Nice to meet a fellow Canadian too!
I phoned Warwick Uni and they said that I would have to fill out some kind of survey to determine what fees I have to pay. Hopefully looks like I might be considered for EU fees, fingers crossed.
Also I didn't quite understand what you meant about the Canadian grades vs British. Does that mean a B in Canada is worth a higher grade in England or the other way around?
hey canuck! i'm dual brit & canadian - but came to canada to study straight after gb high school.hadn't been living here since i was a toddler but I am pretty sure it works the same way.. so re. living inthe country is true: i could only get canadian student loans if i provided an address that i had been considering my permanent address within ontario for the past 2 years, otherwise they say ur not canadian despite the passport..so i think ti's the same4gb: just grab one of your aunt's/uncle's/grandmother's/etc. etc. 's address and say you've been temporarily abroad but living there really for the past 3,4,5 yrs whatever - they really don't care, will never check it out et.c etc. - i've got mine in a family friend's apartment address that doesn't even belong to them anymore...they don't care just tell them something, otherwise they'll screw you over and make life difficult for you!
goddamn bureaucrats!
