Hi guys,
I've been searching for some info to sort out my problem and came across this forum. I have have been working with a really horrible supervisor over the past 3 years and i'm now in my CRS year. To be honest not only is he horrible but I lost a lot of time because he wasn't a very good manager and made me do useless experiments that I cant use in my thesis now, so I don't have much results. I've also lost my passion completely for research, for the field because of this awful experience and I no longer want to even complete, I know most people would think that's crazy after doing 3 years but its affected my health considerably and I've had to draw a line. What i'm confused about is what my legal position is if i don't write up, will I be personally be fined and be chased up about this for the rest of my life? I feel the department has purposely made this a very "grey area" and I've searched through a lot of documents in the university but there's nothing or no one to answer my question. I would really appreciate your advice and thank you in advance for your help
