I'm currently looking at applying for an ecology PhD based at Bangor and I have to write a letter explaining why I'm suitable for the project and why I want to do it. I don't have an MSc but I am currently working as a field assistant in the USA on an ecology project and have an internship in South Africa lined up for later this year so I will have some field experience by the time I would start a PhD. I have applied for two PhD projects before but not got interviews, so I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how best to approach a letter of this type bearing in mind my experience but lack of MSc (I have a 2i BSc Biology from Nottingham). Thanks for any help anyone can give.
