HI,
I am a German girl who is considering to do a MA in Britain. I am interested in Medieval Studies but I don't know whether the job prospects are bright having a MA in this discipline. Another option would be to do a MA in Translation. So what shall I do ????
You should try speaking to a careers adviser. An MA in Medieval studies could lead to work in museums or academia. Translation would almost certainly offer more job opportunities.
Out of interest, what are your motivations in going for further study? It all depends on what you want to do after your masters... as the team posted below, a careers advisor is your best bet. If you can't find one near to you, try e-mailing one at www.prospects.ac.uk
I've used them before, it's free and they are v helpful.
