Urm the swimming has been delayed - can I claim an 'Easter Resolution' but I have done a lot more to keep up with my reading, which was my second resolution.
better make it a week's resolution then.. I would like to finish the following things:
1) revise my journal paper, and send it to the coauthor to read
2) read through a simulator(not written by myself, and figure out how to improve that)
3) work hard and study hard
4) stop worrying and be happy ..
I will check if I make it next sunday here, up to inspection..
Hey lynn. Well, after a thread a while back where I was complaining about putting weight on at a scarily rapid pace, I still haven't managed to do anything about it! I've been exercising a bit, but I have found that the more I exercise, the more justification I find for eating!
So how did we all do? I will be honest and provide some excuses, but honestly this was such a bad week!
1. get up at the first alarm (hahaha)
- started out good...but I was not able to get up at the first try. I DID however get to the office around 8am everyday! that counts?
2. revise comprehensive paper and submit to committee members
-Nope, guess what? Spilling water on my laptop - it completely died on me. I was able to get the IT guys to retrieve my files, including this paper...you could only imagine the panic. Guess who is buying a new computer this week?
3. submit abstract to gerontology conference
-YES!
4. set meeting with advisor
-YES!
5. smile, smile, smile
-YES, but I admit, I wasn't smiling when my laptop would not turn on and I knew it was broken.
Hope everyone else had a better week!
my turn:
1) revise my journal paper, and send it to the coauthor to read
half done.. more complicated than I expected. so try to fix it this week.
2) read through a simulator(not written by myself, and figure out how to improve that)
well, too difficult, horrible simulator.. try to fix it next week.
3) work hard and study hard
pretty much. at least I learnt something.
4) stop worrying and be happy ..
better..
I will send my new week's resolution again later.
