Hi there! Apologies if this comes across as a bit of a silly question, but I've been wondering what I'd be able to do with a PhD in Law? Specifically, I wondered about what sort of careers I'd be able to take on outside of academia. For context, both my BA and MA were in Media and Communications. I will be starting my PhD in Law this April, focusing on the regulation of AI.
I realize that it's early to be thinking about this, but I guess I just wondered what sort of non-academic areas I could explore with this degree.
Thanks for reading and any help you may provide!

Dear Mohamed,
It seems to me that your research field could be applicable in the sector of technology companies, where you could pursue a professional career. Although, from my experience in the area of human rights law, I think that it would possible for you to look for career options in the non for profit sector or international organisations, particularly taking into account the emerging trend on regulating autonomous weapon systems.
Best wishes!
