Hi Folks
In order to give myself an idea of the standard required, I have had the mad idea of reading old Theses - am not a student at the minute, so am not planning to copy!
Are most Theses published on line nowadays? Is there a link which I could access to have a look at some?
My subject area would probably be the Social Sciences.

More and more it is becomming the norm. In my uni a digital copy was optional; as in from 'now' we have to deposit a digital copy in our library. It is worth checking your own library catalogue.
However have a look at the British library website - you can register for free and you can download etheses for free!!

Man Universities also have 'open repositories' (in the UK and elsewhere). If you can't get hold of a recent thesis on Ethos, do a web search for the appropriate University open repository or place a request with the University library.
Also, the British Library's Ethos website only covers England. Scottish and Welsh theses are looked after by their national libraries. I'd assume similar arrangements are made internationally by various national libraries in other countries.
