I graduated last year with a 2 (1) upper second class degree in animal science and i am considering doing a Phd in the field of animal behaviour or pathology, however i am a little aprehensive as i have been out of academia for a year now and feel a little rusty, can anyone familiarise with this situation or give me any advice
Thankyou

It was 3 years between my B.Sc and Ph.D. It was a bit of a chore to begin with, but I soon got re-settled. The people who wait 10-20 years: they are the ones who are likely to REALLY find it hard. Suddenly age and experience are no object when you start your Ph.D: it's the diversity I love about academia.
