I started a PhD last year but had to quit after 3 months due to ill health. Now I'm fully recovered and I still want to do a PhD. Will the same funding body sponsor me even though I quit before? Will it be harder for me to get a PhD place having left one already? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
I shouldn't think that your illness keeping you out of research would affect your ability to get onto another PhD, if anything, supervisors may have a more positive view of you and see your willingness and desire to be involved in the research. The funding body however, I don't know about. You would have to contact them and ask about it.
