I'm currently looking for a PhD which combines my chemistry background with some historical research. I have a BSc in Chemistry with Pharmaceutical and Forensic Science and 6 years industrial experience in organic development. Has anyone any ideas of PhD's or universities which may be doing some similar research?

I'm no expert, but I think Imperial has some kind of centre for the history of science and I believe they have a graduate programme there as well. Maybe worth looking at?

There are a number of research groups looking at the history of medicine. Try this entry on FindAPhD. They do have funding available for good candidates. They haven't added any details at the moment, but look up their web site to find out more.
