Hello. If any of you are based in or around London, would you be able to help out my sister? She is organising focus groups as part of her PhD studies in order to gauge the opinion on the fitness for purpose of colour photographs as the images degrade with time. It will be held at UCL: 29 Gordon Street London.
The workshop will take about an hour and will help to gauge the opinion of various social groups (particularly archivists, conservators, photographers etc) on what constitutes damage during colour image degradation. To read more about the workshops and to register, please visit: http://fenechworkshop-estw.eventbrite.com/. If you would like to learn more about her project, please go into http://www.ucl.ac.uk/sustainableheritage/Fenech.html or her blog http://researchpath.wordpress.com/. There is no need to have any prior knowledge of conservation science or anything of the sort.
