I would completely agree, if you talk about the acceptance of an Austrian Doktor when you're applying for a position at a British university. Then it matters, for sure.

The fastest that u can do should be at least 2 years; however, this is provided that ur research is in d same field as d dissertation / project that u had completed in ur last MBA. That’s what I reckon back in UK.

Expanding a masters thesis and improving on results to make it a PhD thesis makes me feel sad. I think you have missed the point.

I have never heard of any PhD that is real that can take that long. You can only have one for two to three years if its a Professional Doctorate such as DBA. PhDs are usually for 3 to 6 years. Its fun anywhere to do real research and contribute to knowledge as well.
