But who in a companie's HR cares whether an Austrian Doktor (2 year PhD) is the same as a British PhD (3 years and more)?
I would completely agree, if you talk about the acceptance of an Austrian Doktor when you're applying for a position at a British university. Then it matters, for sure.
My Colleague,
I have never heard of any PhD that is real that can take that long. You can only have one for two to three years if its a Professional Doctorate such as DBA. PhDs are usually for 3 to 6 years. Its fun anywhere to do real research and contribute to knowledge as well.
